Babes-Bolyai University among worldwide top universities in at least 10 academic fields

"Babes-Bolyai" University (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca ranks among the top universities in the world in at least ten academic fields, according to the QS Ranking.

"UBB is one of the top universities in the world in at least 10 academic fields. The Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca has been ranked as one of the top universities in the world in 10 academic fields (out of 51 analyzed and included in the ranking) in the most used international university ranking, the QS ranking (Quacquarelli Symonds - https://www.topuniversities.com/subject-rankings/2022)," reads a press release sent on Wednesday by the UBB.

According to the same source, in the field of Psychology, UBB ranks 251-300th in the world and the first in Romania, while it is also the single university in Romania that appears in the ranking, in this field. UBB also ranks first in the country in Mathematics (301-350th internationally), Chemical Engineering (301-350th), Business&Management (351-400th), Modern Languages (251-300th), Informatics/Computer Science (451-500th). It also ranks second in the country in Economics&Econometrics (451-500th internationally), Chemistry (601-630th), Medicine (601-650th) and Agricultural Sciences (351-400th).

"In the large scientific/academic fields, things are as follows for UBB: Art & Humanities (it ranks 451-500th internationally and first at the national level, alongside the University of Bucharest, without any other Romanian presence); Natural Sciences (451-500th internationally and first at the national level, alongside the University of Bucharest, with no other Romanian presence) and Social Sciences&Management (401-500th internationally and first at the national level, with no other Romanian presence). The the other large scientific/academic fields, Romania is not present (Life Science & Medicine) or is represented by several technical universities (Engineering)," mentions the same press release, Agerpres informs.
