The Invictus team will leave for The Hague on Thursday, to represent the Romanian Army at this year's edition of the Invictus Games, which will take place between April 16 and 22, informs the Ministry of National Defense (MApN).

The team will consist of 20 injured soldiers, classified with second and third degree of disability or limited aptitude.

They will compete in seven sports, six of which are individual (archery, athletics, rowing, powerlifting, cycling and swimming) and one team (sitting volleyball), according to the Ministry of Defense, Agerpres.ro informs.

After the editions in Toronto (2017) and Sydney (2018), this will be the third participation of the Romanian military in the international sports competition that supports the physical and mental recovery of the injured soldiers in military operations.

As a national representation project, Invictus Romania aims to attract the involvement and support of citizens, governmental and non-governmental organizations or other institutions that wish to contribute, on a voluntary basis, to the success of this initiative.
