Over 1,500 Romanian, 150 foreign military to participate in 1st of December Parade in Bucharest

Over 1,500 soldiers and specialists with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Romanian Information Service, the Special Telecommunications Service and the National Penitentiary Administration, as well as approximately 120 technical means, including 40 aircraft, will participate on December 1, starting at 11:00, at the military parade organized on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, in the Triumphal Arch Square.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Defense, approximately 150 foreign soldiers will march in the military parade, as part of detachments from Belgium, France, North Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Portugal, the United States of America and the Netherlands, as well as soldiers representing the allied countries contributing to the NATO structures on the territory of Romania alongside approximately 25 technical means, including combat aircraft from Canada, Italy, Spain and the United States of America.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the National Anthem of Romania will be sung, simultaneously with the execution of 21 cannon salvos, followed by the laying of a wreath by President Klaus Iohannis in memory of the Romanian heroes who fell on the battlefields for the reunification of the Romanian nation and the preservation of a moment of silence.

On the occasion of the National Day, representatives of the Romanian Army will participate, at the request and with the support of local authorities, in the preparation, organization and holding of ceremonies in some garrisons where military units are deployed, and the military on mission outside the national territory will hold military ceremonies.

Also, the national flag will be flown in all military institutions in the country, and the Great Pavoaz will be raised on board maritime and river ships.AGERPRES
