Robotics Club Oradea, 3rd place, at Mega Sumo event of Tallinn Robotics Competition

The Robotics Club Oradea team ranked 3rd in the Mega Sumo, the most spectacular and heavy event in the "Robotex" contest in Tallinn, Estonia, the largest robotics competition, which took place between November 25 and 26, told Agerpres.

According to a statement of the coordinator Falviu Birouas, it is for the first time when the team from Oradea is present on the podium in this international competition attended by over 2800 participants from 28 countries and that gathered the largest developers and competitors in the field of robotics.

The Oradea team consisted of 9 participants in two teams, in two of the 18 categories in the competition. The 7 students of the Faculty of Managerial and Technological Engineering of Oradea, the mechatronic department, were accompanied by Professor Flaviu Birouas and Engineer Daniel Anton.

Also in November, the Robotics Club Oradea team participated in the Robochallenge International Competition in Bucharest, where it won 4 prizes in 3 events: 1st place and 2nd place - Humanoid Robot, 3rd place - Humanoid Sumo and 2nd place - Line Follower Kids.

Robotics Club Oradea was established by the Faculty of Managerial and Technological Engineering Oradea, the Mechatronic Department and financed by Celestica.
