Over 60,500 people enter Romania on Tuesday, including 7,254 Ukrainians

The General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF) informs that on Tuesday, over 60,500 people entered Romania through border points throughout the country, including 7,254 Ukrainian citizens, an increase of 1.14% compared to the previous day.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, approximately 152,600 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with more than 47,600 means of transport, passed the control formalities through border points throughout the country, both in the direction of entry and exit. .

"On the way to enter Romania, there were 60,557 people, of whom 7,254 were Ukrainian citizens (up by 1.14% compared to the previous day). Thus, starting from 10.02.2022 (pre-conflict period), until 29.11.2022, 24:00, at the national level, 2,945,803 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania," the Border Police mentions.

At the crossing points and the "green border", the border police detected 40 illegal acts (24 crimes and 16 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens. 12 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided by the law were not allowed to enter the country and 13 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave, for various legal reasons.
