PM, Education representatives discuss salary approach

The government is analysing a uniform and fair salary approach formula for the Education sector, in correlation with the strategic importance given to education, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca said on Tuesday, at a meeting held at the Victoria Palace. with representatives of trade unions in the education area, told Agerpres.

He mentioned that this approach is part of the support enjoyed by the "Educated Romania" Project, reflected in the package of Education Laws, a press release from the Executive informs.

"We are preparing massive investments from the PNRR so that all schools in Romania benefit from modern equipment, both in classrooms and in laboratories or workshops. The total value of the allocated funds is almost one billion euros, money at the disposal of our country in the next three years. We are allocating to Education for the next year the largest amount in the last 30 years - approximately 50 billion lei," said Ciuca.

The discussions were attended by the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, members of the Prime Minister's Chancellery and leaders of the Alma Mater, Spiru Haret and Free Trade Unions in Education Federations.
