Approximately 139,800 people, Romanian citizens and foreigners, with over 45,000 means of transport, carried out, on Wednesday, the control formalities both in the direction of entry and exit from the country, the Border Police informed.
Inbound, there were 78,622 people, of which 8,027 were Ukrainian citizens (up by 15.16% compared to the previous day). Thus, starting from February 10 (pre-conflict period) until December 14, at the national level, 3,061,645 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.
Regarding specific activities, in the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border", the border police detected 37 illegal acts (18 crimes and 19 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens and raised goods for confiscation in the amount of approximately 2,084,683 RON. The fines applied amount to over 10,700 RON.
At the same time, 30 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country, and eight Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
The Border Police specify that they act in an integrated system with the other institutions with attributions in the field, in order to achieve an operative exchange of data and information for the efficient management of the cases that arise.AGERPRES
