Over 130,000 persons, including 14,573 Ukrainians, enter Romania on Tuesday

The Inspectorate General of the Border Police informs that 133,285 people, including 14,573 Ukrainian citizens, entered Romania through the border crossing points on Tuesday.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, 254,300 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and over 64,500 means of transport, passed through the border crossing points throughout the country, on both directions.

On the way into Romania, there were 133,285 persons, of whom 14,573 were Ukrainian citizens. Thus, as of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,220,000 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania.

In the areas of jurisdiction, crossing points and "green border," border police officers have found 74 illegal acts (49 offences and 25 contraventions) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the value of fines imposed amounts to RON 18,200.

Goods worth approximately RON 2.4 million were seized for confiscation.

On Tuesday, seven foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the country, as they did not meet the legal requirements, and 20 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
