A road train loaded with textile waste sent back to Germany by the border police

A truck loaded with 16 tonnes of textile waste from Germany has been blocked by the authorities from entering Romania, after it was found that the transport was illegal, told Agerpres.

The road train driven by a Romanian has been subjected to verifications upon entering the country through the Nadlac II Border Crossing Point.

"It was transporting, according to the documents accompanying the goods, waste in the form of clothes from a commercial company in Germany for a company in Romania. However, the authorities were suspicious about the legality of the transport in question and requested authorized support from the representatives of the Arad County Commissionerate within the National Environmental Guard. After the checks, it was found that the truck was loaded with 16,660 kg of waste, for which the driver did not present the documentation required by law for the import of such products," informs the Arad border police.

The authorities ordered that the waste be returned to the sender in Germany.
