Crevedia Explosion/PM Ciolacu expected at crisis cell at Home Affairs venue

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu will go to the crisis cell of the Ministry Internal Affairs following the explosions that took place on Saturday evening at the LPG station in Crevedia, Dambovita County, north of Bucharest.

The people who were injured were transferred to the Floreasca, Universitar and Bagdasar-Arseni Hospitals in Bucharest, announced the Ministry of Health.

"The explosion that took place today at an LPG station in Crevedia, Dambovita County, injured several people. Crews from the Bucharest Ilfov and Dambovita Ambulance Services and SMURD intervened, providing emergency medical assistance and transporting the victims to emergency hospitals in the Capital: Floreasca, Universitar and Bagdasar Arseni. From the information we have so far, there have been 7 injuries (4 of them are intubated) and one death," the ministry stated in a press release, noting that the figures are provisional.

The head of the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), Raed Arafat, said that 26 firefighters were also injured, one of them being in serious condition.
