The Russian Federation's attacks against civilian targets in Ukraine are "unjustified" and "in deep contradiction with the rules of international humanitarian law," the Romanian Defence minister Angel Tilvar said, specifying that, at no time, did the means of attack used generate direct military threats against Romania's national territory or territorial waters.

"I strongly condemn the attacks directed against civilian targets and infrastructure in Ukraine by the Russian Federation. These attacks are unjustified and in profound contradiction with the rules of international humanitarian law. The responsible structures of the Ministry of National Defense monitored in real time the situation generated by Russian drone attacks last night on the infrastructure of Reni port," Angel Tilvar wrote on Facebook on Sunday, agerpres reports.

"The Ministry of National Defense continues, as I have repeatedly stated, the implementation of vigilance measures strengthened in the national land, sea and air space and those to strengthen the defense and deterrence posture on the Eastern Flank, established according to national and allied plans," the minister added.

Russia launched a drone strike on parts of Ukraine's southern Odessa region the night of Saturday to Sunday, hitting a port infrastructure on the Danube and wounding at least two people, Kyiv said.
