Romanian tennis player Gabriela Ruse advanced on Friday to the semifinals of the W40 ITF tournament in Quinta do Lago (Portugal), after defeating Latvian Darja Semenistaja 6-2, 6-2.
Seed No. 7 Ruse (age 25, WTA's 185th), clinched the victory against the second seeded Semenistaja (21, WTA's 133rd) in 62 minutes, Agerpres reports.
The Romanian is next to play the winner between Great Britain's Harriet Dart (seed No. 3, WTA's 145th) and Germany's Ella Seidel (18, WTA's 257th).
