MAE strongly recommends leaving areas in southern Lebanon immediately

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Saturday that, in the context of the deterioration of the security situation in the region, the travel warning for the Lebanese Republic was updated.

"MAE strongly recommends leaving the areas of southern Lebanon (the region south of the Litani River) immediately, considering the recent armed clashes in the Lebanese-Israeli border area. At the same time, the MFA recommends avoiding all travel to Lebanon, and citizens who are already in Lebanon, the assessment with responsibility of the need to remain on the territory of this state," it is shown in a statement sent to AGERPRES.

Romanian citizens who are in the Lebanese Republic can request assistance from the Embassy of Romania in Beirut by calling the telephone numbers +961 5 924 849, +961 5 920 432, +961 5 920 452.

At the same time, Romanian citizens who face a difficult, special, urgent situation can directly call the emergency number +961 76 775 503.
