DefMin Tilvar: Romania is concerned with war in Israel, nonetheless will continue to support Ukraine

Romania is concerned about the war in Israel and is "attentive" to the loss of human lives, but at the same time will continue to help Ukraine "in a multidimensional way," Romanian Minister of National Defence Angel Tilvar said in Arad on Monday.

The minister, while paying a visit to Arad, was asked by journalists about the war in Israel and said that Romania is concerned about this conflict.

"We are concerned, we are attentive, anything that leads to loss of life is something that concerns absolutely everyone, because globalisation makes any event take on a global scale, which is why we, as a state, are also attentive. As you know, the Prime Minister also paid a visit there, a delegation of which I was part, to deliver messages of solidarity and condemnation of all forms of terrorism," said Angel Tilvar.

Asked whether aid to Ukraine would continue, the minister replied, "We will help, as I said, in a multidimensional way."

Minister Angel Tilvar also said that during the visit to Kyiv last week by the delegation led by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Romania received the appreciation and thanks of the Ukrainian government for the way it helped the country both in humanitarian terms and in terms of grain transit.
