The government is prepared to adopt the emergency ordinance regarding the new minimum wages in construction, agriculture and the food industry, prime minister Marcel Ciolacu wrote on Wednesday on Facebook.
"We agreed today, together with employers' associations and unions, in the Tripartite National Council, the new values of the minimum wages in construction, agriculture and the food industry. We made a promise to the employees, that following the introduction of the health contribution, the wages in these two fields will not decrease! And with today's agreement, both the new minimum wage (gross, ed. n.) in construction, of 4,582 RON, and the one in agriculture and the food industry, of 3,436 RON, guarantee that not a single RON is lost from net salaries," Ciolacu said.
He thanked employers' associations for understanding the "importance of this moment" and appreciated the support given to the Government by the trade unions in establishing the correct minimum wage values in the two key industries for the economy.
