The border police caught 15 migrants from Iraq, Syria and Turkey attempting to cross the border illegally into Hungary, hiding in a space under the trailer of a truck checked at the Nadlac II border crossing point.
The truck arrived at the border on Thursday night and was unloaded. The truck was driven by a 45-year-old Romanian from Arad County.
"The driver stated that he was traveling to the neighbouring country to load various goods. After carrying out a thorough inspection of the means of transport, fifteen foreigners were found hidden inside the pallet boxes of the semi-trailer (located in a space under the trailer)," the Arad Border Police informed on Friday.
The foreigners were taken to the police headquarters for further verifications, and it was established that they are from Iraq, Syria and Turkey, Agerpres informs.
