Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR) is integrating the Visa Click to Pay functionality into the George digital banking application, offering customers a simpler, safer and completely digital way to pay online, without manually entering card data, according to a press release from the bank.
"Through this functionality, we bring online payments to a new level of simplicity and security, directly in the George application. It is a natural complement to the multiple digital functionalities in George, intended to offer customers an increasingly fluid and intuitive banking experience," said Petrut Lixandru, Deputy Executive Director of BCR Retail Distribution, quoted in the press release, agerpres reports.
The new option is available starting July 31, 2025 and can be activated directly from the George application, in the "Options" section related to the Visa card. Enrollment is valid for all individual and corporate clients (registered individuals and microenterprises) who hold a Visa debit or credit card, in lei or foreign currency, and who have declared a mobile phone number and a valid email address.
Through this integration, BCR continues to develop a modern digital ecosystem in George, which currently has almost 350 functionalities, both for individuals and entrepreneurs.
BCR offers a full range of financial products and services, through a network of 20 business centers and 18 mobile offices dedicated to companies and 298 retail units located in most cities in the country with over 10,000 inhabitants, of which 71% are units where cash transactions are carried out only at equipment (cashless). BCR customers have access to an extensive national network of ATMs and multifunctional machines (2,000 devices) and complete banking services through Internet banking, Mobile banking, Phone-banking and E-commerce.
