BEC centralizes 99.89% of presidential election data

The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) on Monday centralized, at 9:00 am, the data coming from 99.89% of all polling stations.

According to them, the mayor of the capital city, Nicusor Dan, an independent candidate, obtained, in the second round of the presidential elections, a number of 6,165,741 votes (53.61%), and his opponent, AUR leader George Simion 5,335,752 votes (46.39%).

Out of the total of 19,945 polling stations, data from 19,924 polling stations were centralized, representing 99.89%.

The total number of voters who turned out to vote in the second round was 11,635,741, representing 64.72% of the total number of voters on the permanent electoral lists.

The total number of valid votes cast is 11,501,493, representing 98.85% of the total number of voters who turned out to vote.

The total number of invalid votes is 134,178, representing 1.5% of the total number of voters who turned out to vote. AGERPRES
