Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan discussed on Wednesday, at Victoria Palace, with private operators the evolution of fuel prices, but also the possibility of new legislative interventions.
Ilie Bolojan and the interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, analyzed the developments on the energy products market and the impact on fuel prices, during consultations with major operators on the fuel market in Romania, according to a press release sent by the Government.
"The consultations aim to assess the current market situation, identify potential supply and price risks, as well as analyze the opportunity for additional measures to protect the population and the economy. In this context, the possibility of a new legislative intervention was discussed, depending on the evolution of fuel prices in the coming weeks," the quoted source reports.
The consultations of Government representatives with major operators on the Romanian fuel market will continue with a view to the "permanent analysis of developments and potential risks" on the fuel market, so that the institutional response is adapted to the market situation, the press release states.
