The quantity of 39,907 kilograms of textile waste from companies in Bulgaria for Romania, brought into the country by two Romanian drivers and one Bulgarian driver, was stopped by the authorities upon entering the country, at the Giurgiu border checking point, informs Agerpres.

"In the last three days, at different time intervals, at the Giurgiu-Russian Border Crossing Point, a Bulgarian citizen and two Romanian citizens, in two trucks, showed up in the direction of entry into the country. The drivers were transporting textile waste, from companies in Bulgaria, having as their destination Romania. The Giurgiu border police officers requested authorized support from the representatives of the Giurgiu County Environmental Guard, as part of the checks, and the authorities established the fact that the means of transport contained the amount of 39,907 kilograms of textile waste," it is shown in a press release, issued on Wednesday, by the Giurgiu Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police.

Proceeding to the verification and analysis of the accompanying documents, it was found that the three transports do not meet the conditions for entry into the country, which is why the relevant authorities did not allow the means of transport to enter Romania.
