Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Friday's trading session in the green

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Friday's session higher, with a total turnover of over 523.5 million lei (102.94 million euros), of which share transactions amounted to 507.95 million lei (99.89 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 0.13pct, to 22,516.79 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed higher by 0.04pct.

Moreover, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 0.60pct, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded an increase by 0.19pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.17pct, while the SIF index, BET-FI, went up 1.17pct compared to the previous day.

Furthermore, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, recorded an increase of 1.82pct.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 14.19 million RON, followed by Hidroelectrica Banca Transilvania, with 7.48 million RON and OMV Petrom with 4.88 million RON.

The best developments were recorded by Armatura shares (+14.58pct), Carbochim (+9pct) and STK Emergent (+6.56pct).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Altur (-4.93pct), Aeta SA (-4.92pct) and Santier Naval Orsova (-4.79pct).
