Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher on nearly all indices in Tuesday's trading session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed higher on most indices in Tuesday's trading session, with a turnover of 57.69 million RON (11.35 million EUR).

The BVB main index, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the regulated market, advanced by 0.84%, to 21,993.37 points, while BET-Plus, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid shares, gained 0.78%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.82%, and the BET-FI index of financial investment companies increased by 0.64%.

The BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment fund returns, closed up 0.52%, while the BET-NG index, tracking the performance of ten energy and utilities companies, climbed 1.38%.

In contrast, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, fell by 0.60%.

The most traded shares were OMV Petrom (11.12 million RON), followed by Banca Transilvania (8.57 million RON) and Hidroelectrica (4.45 million RON).

The best performers were Armatura (+14.91%), Artego (+4.67%) and AETA (+4.31%).

On the other hand, the sharpest declines were recorded by Santierul Naval Orsova (-5.88%), Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (-2.83%) and Sinteza (-2.36%).
