The turnover resulting from market services provided mainly to enterprises decreased, as a gross series, by 0.9% in the first half of this year, compared to 2024, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), published on Friday.
Compared to the first semester of the previous year, at the end of June 2025, decreases were recorded in the activities of cinematographic, video, television program production; broadcasting and transmission of programs (-22%), computer and information technology service activities (-4.4%) and transport activities (-1.9%). In contrast, increases were recorded in communications activities (+5.6%) and other services provided mainly to enterprises (+1.2%).
According to the cited source, between January 1 and June 30, this year, the turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises decreased by 1.6%, as an adjusted series, depending on the number of working days and seasonality.
INS data show that, in June 2025, compared to June 2024, business in market services provided to enterprises increased by 4.7%, as a gross series, due to IT and information technology services activities (+8.5%), other services provided mainly to enterprises (+5.5%), communications activities (+4.0%) and transport activities (+0.6%). At the opposite end were the activities of cinematographic, video, television program production; broadcasting and transmission of programs, with a decrease of 20.8%.
As an adjusted series, in the same reference period, the turnover in the same field increased, overall, by 3.3%.
At a comparative level in June - May 2025, the turnover from market services provided mainly to enterprises increased as a gross series (+4.3%), but decreased as an adjusted series, by 0.7%.
