Former presidential candidate Calin Georgescu has been sent to court by the General Prosecutor's Office for complicity in an attempt to commit acts against the constitutional order, judicial sources told AGERPRES on Tuesday.
In the same case, mercenary Horatiu Potra has also reportedly been sent to court.
Prosecutors allege that Horatiu Potra and his group of mercenaries planned to infiltrate protests organised immediately after the annulment of the December 2024 presidential elections, with the intention of creating chaos.
The action plan is said to have been devised by Calin Georgescu and his close associates during a clandestine meeting held at a farm in Ciolpani, shortly after the election results were annulled.
