The National Meteorological Administration has issued on Tuesday afternoon a Yellow Code alert for strong winds for 14 counties, effective for the next hours.
According to meteorologists, wind exceeding 80-90 km/h will be signalled in the mountainous area of Buzau county, at over 1,500 meters of altitude, while in Tulcea county, the coastline and in the counties of Suceava (lower regions), Vaslui, Botosani, Neamt and Iasi, the wind gusts will reach 55-65 kilometers per hour, storming the snow.
In the mountainous area of Brasov, Sibiu, Prahova, Arges and Dambovita, Valcea and Gorj counties, at 1,800 meters of altitude, wind gusts will reach 90-100 kilometres per hour shattering and storming the snow and reducing visibility below 50 meters.

In the mountain areas of Suceava county, wind gusts will be present until 20:00hrs.
Now-casting warnings are issue for up to six hours, ANM mentions.
