The leadership of the National Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising Agency (ANCPI) must not only secure its data after the recent cyberattack, but also present a final report to Parliament clarifying any speculation about data loss or sale, acting Minister of Economy, Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Irineu Darau said on Wednesday.
"The management must secure the data and public services, but also present a report that clarifies any speculation about loss or sale of data," Darau said, noting that delays affect ongoing real-estate transactions and citizens should not bear costs caused by the state.
He praised the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) for intervening immediately and urged institutions with critical infrastructure to follow DNSC's legal requirements and implement its recommendations.
ANCPI announced on July 15 that it had been the target of a cyberattack causing the most extensive technical outage in its history. The agency said its data remained safe and uncompromised.
