The Ministry of National Defence (MApN) announced on Thursday that several drone fragments discovered in the area of Capu Midia beach have been neutralised.
According to a press release the Ministry of National Defence sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, an EOD team from the Romanian Naval Forces went to the Capu Midia beach area to inspect debris from an aerial drone.
Following the inspection, the EOD team confirmed that the fragments did not contain an explosive payload and neutralised them at the site at around 9.30 am, the source said.
"The drone debris was reported in the beach area on Wednesday, at around 8.00 pm. Due to nightfall, it was decided to cordon off the area and postpone the intervention until this morning," the press release reads.
