National Defence Minister Mihai Fifor on Friday voiced appreciation for the support Italy showed in the servicemen hiring at the Multinational Brigade of Craiova and underscored Romania's support for the unitary approach, in the 360-degree concept, of the threats to NATO's security and stability.

The Minister met on Friday with Italy's Ambassador in Bucharest Marco Giungi.

"During the meeting, the two officials approached priority topics on the bilateral agenda as well as aspects related to the cooperation inside NATO and the EU. In respect to the allied context, Minister Fifor voiced appreciation for the support that Italy showed in the servicemen hiring at the Multinational Brigade of Craiova and underscored Romania's support for the unitary approach in the 360-degree concept, of the threats to NATO's security and stability," a National Defence Ministry (MApN) release sent to AGERPRES on Friday informs.

The Romanian Minister sent Ambassador Giungi his appreciations related to the NATO Defence College in Rome, which he paid a visit to last year, an institution which represents an important landmark in the training at high academic standards in security and defence matters in the NATO and partner countries.
