The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, said on Saturday, after the explosion on the A7 highway construction site, as a result of which a worker died, that the field of construction is a risky one, any mistake having the potential to be fatal.
"Condolences to the family of the employee who lost his life today while working on the construction site of Lot 1 of the Ploiesti-Buzau Highway! The field of construction is a risky one, all the more so as we work at an accelerated pace. Any mistake can be fatal and, therefore, it is very important that the labor protection rules are strictly respected! Currently, the judicial authorities are conducting on-site investigations to find out the cause of this tragic accident," Grindeanu wrote on Facebook.
A 57-year-old man died on Saturday, following an explosion that occurred on the construction site of the A7 highway in the Dumbrava - Albesti area, official sources stating, for AGERPRES, that, according to the first data, the explosion occurred during some welding work in the case of some sleepers that have been freshly painted.
In this case, the police have opened a criminal case for manslaughter, failure to take legal health and safety measures at work and failure to comply with legal health and safety measures at work, informs the Prahova County Police Inspectorate
