Healthcare Minister Sorina Pintea stated on Tuesday that regional hospitals would be built on the 20121-2027 financial period with an increase of the co-funding percentage of the European Union from 50 percent to 80 percent.
Sorina Pintea told a press conference that the construction of hospitals was delayed because there are some procedures that must be observed and not because the Government of the Healthcare Ministry didn't want to.

She also argued that there have been many discussions in the public space, according to which Romania wouldn't be capable to build a new hospital, that Romania isn't accessing European funds.
According to the Healthcare Minister, the value of a hospital, construction and equipment, is worth 400 million euro.
