The interim Minister of Health, Cseke Attila, asked the Sanitary Inspectorate to urgently begin an inspection at the medical office in Bucharest where a patient went into a cerebral coma after an aesthetic procedure and later died.
According to the Ministry of Health, the control team went to the scene, but the office was closed, so the inspectors could not begin the checks.
"To the extent that access is allowed, inspectors will verify: compliance with the sanitary operating authorization, compliance with medical circuits, compliance with hygienic and sanitary conditions, according to legal attributions. The Ministry of Health will continue the steps to complete the control, and the results of the checks will be made public," the information states.
The press reported, at the end of last week, about the case of a woman who allegedly went into a cerebral coma and then died after undergoing an aesthetic procedure.
