Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR) received on Wednesday at the Patriarchal Residence incoming Apostolic Nuncio to Romania, Monsignor Giampiero Gloder, on an introductory visit.
The BOR head expressed on this occasion his gratitude for the constant support offered by the Roman Catholic Church to the Romanian Orthodox communities in the Western diaspora, a release by the Patriarchate's Department for Church, Interfaith Liaison and External Church Communities informs.
Monsignor Giampiero Gloder highlighted the importance of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church engaging in efforts to restore Christian unity, especially in the current context marked by multiple crises.
