Industry, retail trade and services will be register a moderate increase in October-December 2018, with the number of employees in industry and services to maintain relatively stable, while prices in industry and construction to grow, according to the conjunctural analysis published on Monday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Regarding the number of employees, a relative stability is estimated, with a conjunctural balance of - 1 per cent per overall processing industry. In terms of the prices for the industrial products a moderate growth is expected in the next three months (conjunctural balance +8 per cent).
In constructions, according to the estimations of October 2018, a moderate decline of the production volume (conjunctural balance -15 per cent) will be recorded in the mentioned period. The managers estimate also a moderate decline in respect to the number of employees (conjunctural balance -10 per cent).
A moderate growth is expected in prices of construction works (conjunctural balance + 9 per cent).
In the retail sector, the managers estimated a moderate increase in the economic activity (conjunctural balance + 13 per cent). The volume of orders for suppliers of merchandise to the stores will see a slight increase (conjunctural balance +12 per cent). Employers also estimate an increase in the number of employees (conjunctural balance +18 per cent).
For the next period, the company managers estimate an increase in prices for retail (conjunctural balance +24 per cent).
According to estimates of October 2018, demand for services (turnover) will see a moderate increase in October-December 2018 (conjunctural balance +9 per cent). In this sector it is estimated a relative stability in the number of employees (conjunctural balance +3 per cent). Sales prices or invoice prices of services will see a relative stability (conjunctural balance +4 per cent).
