Mihai Botez, the USR MP for Vaslui, states that "the incompetence and ill will of the PSD" regarding the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) are evident at the local level as well—not just centrally—warning that several important development projects in Husi have been missed.

On Thursday, the MP cited examples of projects in the municipality of Hu?i aimed at modernizing the agricultural high school and building housing for doctors, agerpres reports.

"In Vaslui County, ten projects implemented by local administrations—most of which are also led by the PSD—have lost their PNRR funding. In Hu?i, for instance—a town where it is vital to attract professionals in key fields, such as doctors, to come and practice—funding for staff housing under the PNRR was lost. While the housing alone would not have solved the healthcare facility's serious management issues, it could have served as a significant incentive. (...) Also in Hu?i, another major PNRR grant was lost for a flagship local institution: the agricultural college, which has a long history of training specialists in viticulture. Funding that would have equipped the high school and made it more attractive to younger generations is now gone. They will have to wait to find alternative funding, but time is running out. The PSD is just as incompetent and ill-intentioned at the local level as it is at the central level. Nationwide, dozens or even hundreds of other projects face the same situation. Hundreds of millions of euros more have been lost due to PSD incompetence or negligence. The PSD is costing us dearly. It is costing us the quality of our present and our future," stated Mihai Botez in a press release.

The USR MP also maintained that the PSD is responsible for the loss of 770 million euros due to the failure to meet the milestone regarding the unified wage system.

"This milestone fell under the responsibility of the Ministry of Labor—a ministry managed by the PSD through three 'expert' ministers (Marius Budai, Simona Bucura-Oprescu, and Florin Manole) for nearly four years. Their 'successfully' achieved objective was to avoid the issue of the wage law throughout their tenure. Once they had stepped down and the PNRR deadline was looming, these PSD 'experts' began explaining to the Bolojan Government how others should accomplish in three months what they themselves had avoided doing for four years. It is the classic PSD tactic: seeking out scapegoats without offering a single solution. Zero accountability, but a massive televised spectacle," Botez added.
