'Milk Teeth' feature film, directed by Mihai Mincan, will compete in the international competition of the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, which will take place between 30 October and 9 November, according to a press release sent to AGERPRES Wednesday.
The film will be screened in the presence of director Mihai Mincan.
Milk Teeth will also be shown at the 74th edition of the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival in Germany, taking place from 6 to 16 November. The screenings will be attended by actor Istvan Teglas.
Inspired by personal memories from a childhood spent under communism, as well as elements from one of the many Militia cases on children who went missing before 1989, the film tells the story from the perspective of a 10-year-old girl as she navigates the tragic disappearance of her older sister.
The cast includes: Emma Ioana Mogos, Marina Palii, Igor Babiac, Istvan Teglas, Victor-Ioan Rogobete, Lara Maria Alexandra Comanescu, Maia-Victoria Boboc, Albert Ciuta, Karina-Ziana Gherasim, Tudor Morar, Mihaela Radescu, Ada Lupu, Catalin Filip, Luca-David Caravan and Ingrid-Maria Tirintica.
The feature was produced by the Romanian company deFilm, in co-production with Remora Films (France), Strom Pictures (Denmark), StudioBauhaus (Greece) and Screening Emotions (Bulgaria).
