The National Railway Company CFR signed on Tuesday with SCADT company, as contractor, the contract for the design and execution of works related to the objective "Modernization/rehabilitation of 47 railway stations in Romania - Lot SRCF Craiova - Caracal Station", the company informs in a press release, inform Agerpres.
The value of the contract is almost 6.414 million lei (excluding VAT), the financing being ensured from non-reimbursable external funds through the Transport Operational Program (POT), from the State Budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, from the own revenues of the National Railway Company CFR, as well as from other legally established sources.
The objective of the investment is to develop the technical project and execute the modernization works of the Caracal Railway Station, in order to improve the conditions of rail transport and the services offered to the traveling public.
The contract duration is 20 months, of which 9 months for design and 11 months for the execution of the works, to which is added a 36-month warranty period and 4 months for activities subsequent to the final acceptance.
"Through this project, the National Railway Company CFR continues the modernization program of the railway infrastructure, contributing to increasing the safety, comfort and attractiveness of rail transport", the press release states.
