NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met on Thursday with President of Romania, Nicusor Dan, and Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev, to discuss security in the Black Sea and the most recent attacks on commercial maritime shipping, according to a post by Rutte on X.
"Good meeting with Bulgarian PM Rumen Radev and Romanian President Nicusor Dan about security in the Black Sea and the latest attacks on commercial shipping," Rutte wrote.
He went on to say that NATO has strengthened its posture along the eastern flank, including with increasing counter-drone capabilities, and will continue to work closely with its Allies in the Black Sea, adjusting its deterrence and defence posture as needed.
