Romanian athlete Andreea Talos qualified, on Friday, in the triple jump final of the Olympic Games in Paris, while Diana Ion missed this chance.
Talos (formerly Panturoiu), who was 11th at the 2019 World Championships, performed in Group B qualification and qualified for the finals with the ninth overall performance, 14.23 meters.

Diana Ana Maria Ion (23 years old), who performed in Group A, was the first athlete who did not reach the final of 12, with 14.03 meters. The Romanian, debutant at the Olympic Games, was only two centimeters away from the French Ilionis Guillaume, the last to reach the final.
Cuban Leyanis Perez Hernandez had the best performance in the qualifications, 14.68 meters.
The final will take place on Saturday, August 3, from 21:20.
