The joint plenary sitting of Parliament approved on Wednesday Robert Christian Schwartz as President - Director General of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company (SRR), inform Agerpres.
The vote recorded 241 in favour and two against.
The voting was secret with balls.
The Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR) parliamentary groups left the joint session before the vote for the new presidents and directors general of the public Television and Radio.
Before the vote, AUR senators' leader Petrisor Peiu announced that his party's MPs would leave the chamber. "The AUR parliamentary groups will not participate in the vote for the appointment of the two presidents, invoking Article 1 of the Constitution - the rule of law and the observance of laws. The law was not observed in the appointment of the two Boards of Administration, thus e cannot validate today's vote. We will leave the chamber," Petrisor Peiu said.
