Investment opportunities in the food production sector in Romania, as well as the promotion of Romanian producers on European markets, were the topics discussed on Tuesday, at the Victoria Palace, by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and Schwarz Group CEO Gerd Chrzanowski.
According to a Government press release, Prime Minister Bolojan emphasized that the economic stimulus package promoted by the Government offers mechanisms to support investments, such as loans that benefit from government guarantees, state aid schemes and other facilities established in accordance with European norms.
Levers are also available to encourage projects to increase production capacities in the food sector.
Another topic addressed at the proposal of Prime Minister Bolojan was related to the promotion of Romanian producers on European markets, the cited source shows.
"The Government is fully open to supporting competitive Romanian producers to increase their production capacity and reach the standards required by foreign markets, but collaborating with large international companies will strongly change their approach," said PM Bolojan.
The possibility of collaboration in the digital field and the investment opportunities offered by this sector were also on the agenda of the discussions at Victoria Palace.
In this context, the Prime Minister stated that digitalization, the integration of digital systems and cyber-security are aspects of interest for the Government, given their impact on the smooth running of the economy.
Prime Minister Bolojan thanked the Schwarz Group representatives, Gerd Chrzanowski and Christian Groh, for the investments made in Romania by this company and added that the national economy offers opportunities for developing the project portfolio on the Romanian market.
