The Government won't give up this Ordinance announced by the Minister of Finance, but we are going to adopt it after a discussions with the Economic and Social Committee, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated on Thursday, at the Parliament Palace.

"We won't give up this Ordinance, today we are having the CES (the meeting of the Economic and Social Committee) and we are going to discuss there with the employers' unions, trade unions the representatives of the CES. If we are going to have this talk at the CES, we adopt this Ordinance," specified Dancila.

With respect to the criticism triggered by the Ordinance that had to do with the introduction of new taxes, in the context in which she had previously promised this won't happen, the Prime Minister claimed that all the provisions of the normative act are "for the citizens" and they are going to bring "benefits."

She spoke about the provisions meant for the banking environment.

"I will take just one example, for I saw it was tackled the most in the public space, namely the one referring to the banks. What interests me very much is that the citizens who have a loan with a bank won't have such high interests rates, what I'm interested in is to help the citizens, for we are a left-wing Government and I believe that we need to take these measures," explained Dancila.
