Romania's Prime Minister Viorica Dancila told a plenary session of the European Parliament on Wednesday that the Romanian Gendarmerie is accused of intervening on August 10 in Bucharest in an unauthorised rally, saying that she can in no way accept this body being accused of actions and procedures practiced all over Europe.

"About the rally of August 10 - (...) I see that the Romanian Gendarmerie is being accused for having intervened in an unauthorised rally against violent demonstrators who were trying to occupy the government building. (...) I cannot accept in any way the Romanian Gendarmerie being blamed for actions and procedures practiced all over Europe," Dancila told a debate on Romania hosted by the European Parliament on Wednesday.
