PNL MP Raluca Turcan stated on Friday that the nomination of Ilie Bolojan for the position of prime minister is "the step that was needed", noting that "the hard work is just beginning", and the two statesmen - Nicusor Dan and Ilie Bolojan - need solidarity, courage, empathy and "the knowledge to do what is right" around them, informs Agerpres.

"At a time when Romania needs clarity, the nomination of Ilie Bolojan for the position of prime minister is the step that was needed. He is a man who has demonstrated that he assumes responsibilities and is focused on results. He does not attack or speculate. He calls things by their names and clearly explains the difficult situation we are in. The measures will be difficult, difficult to put into practice. But Ilie Bolojan understood a simple truth: it is not about what the PNL, one person or another, wants, but about how we can get Romania out of the deadlock," Turcan wrote on Facebook.

She also mentioned that President Nicusor Dan had kept his campaign promise to support Ilie Bolojan for the position of prime minister.

"It is normal to be tensions and differences of opinion in politics. The important thing is that they are resolved through dialogue and, above all, responsibility. As the Romanians who voted on May 18 wanted. The hard work is just beginning. The two statesmen, Nicusor Dan and Ilie Bolojan, need solidarity, courage, empathy and the knowledge to do what is right around them. Their success is the success of the country and the people!", Turcan also said.

President Nicusor Dan appointed, on Friday, the interim leader of the PNL, Ilie Bolojan, for the position of prime minister.
