President NicuSor Dan said on Tuesday that it is time for the current political crisis to end, adding that early elections are not a solution.
"It is time for this political crisis to end. It is time for the parties to look beyond the party fence, to look at the national interest. Early elections are not a solution; on the contrary, it would be a continuation of instability and mistrust of both Romanian citizens and financial markets and, regardless of what happens, Romania will keep its financial trajectory. There is political consensus on this issue," the chief of state said.
His statement comes one day before the vote that Parliament has to cast on the governing agenda and a list of the Cabinet members nominated by Prime Minister-designate Siegfried Murersan.
