The Social Democratic Party (PSD, major at rule)'s national leader Liviu Dragnea on Monday said that in principle there will be no major or many modifications in the governing programme, adding that the programme is to be updated. "The governing programme, talking about its today stage, we shall address it in the CEx (executive committee meeting, ed. n.). This will be the main topic, we'll talk it over with our colleagues from ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats, minor at rule, ed. n.), we'll talk about it tomorrow too, and the day after tomorrow, and Thursday, but in principle we have set that there will not be big or many modifications. Mainly, it is about updating it, considering that 2017 has ended and we cannot maintain, for instance, in the programme certain deadlines that are perhaps outstanding debts," Dragnea asserted ahead of the reunion of the PSD's National Executive Committee.

Quizzed in connection with the introduction of the household tax in the ruling programme, Dragnea said he didn't rule out for it to being introduced, but that it will be communicated when the ruling programme will be ready.

As for the introduction in the governing programme of the abuse of office's decriminalization, Liviu Dragnea specified that "any member is free to lodge proposals to the ruling programme".

"What is important is for the final form to be adopted at political level," the Social-Democrat leader added.
