The Social Democratic Party (PSD) national leader, Liviu Dragnea, said, on Monday, that in the next days he will decide upon what position he is going to fill in the Parliament and whether he is going to take over as Chamber of Deputies' Speaker. "So far, I have inked the necessary papers to try to take over my Deputy mandate or in order to be contested; I had to fill these papers firstly. I want to emphasise one thing: even if the bureaucracy seems to me rather exaggerated to me as regards these documents, it is a very good organisation and it takes very little. This doesn't mean procedures could not be made simpler. As regards a possible future position for me, we shall talk in the next days," said Dragnea at the Parliament Palace, after accomplishing formalities to take over his new deputy mandate.
Dragnea mentioned that he is cool, he has no concerns for his mandate validation, and that those trying to contest it have 'a ridiculous attitude.' "The validation committee of this new Parliament could only analyse if the eligibility conditions to participate in these elections were met and whether this mandate was got through electoral fraud or by violating the electoral laws in these elections," Dragnea concluded.
