The Social Democratic Party (PSD) announced on Wednesday that all its representatives who held the positions of state secretary, deputy state secretary, prefect or deputy prefect have resigned following the party's decision to table a motion of no confidence to dismiss Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
"PSD announces that all its representatives who held in the Government the positions of state secretary, deputy state secretary, prefect or deputy prefect have resigned following the party's decision to table a motion of no confidence to dismiss Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The resignations of all Social Democratic representatives from government structures constitute an act of dignity, in full consistency with PSD's actions at parliamentary level," the party said in a press release sent to AGERPRES.
PSD considers that changing the way the country is governed and stopping the decline of the national economy represent at this moment a far more important stake than maintaining certain positions or portfolios in a dysfunctional Government.
