Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete is visiting on Thursday the "Prof. Dr. Nicolae Oblu" Clinical Emergency Hospital in Iasi in order to inaugurate Romania's first mobile MRI, purchased with Ministry of Health funds as part of a medical investment package worth 5.5 million euros.
According to a press release, within the visit, Minister Rogobete will also review the progress of investments made with European funds at the medical unit.
The new mobile magnetic resonance imaging equipment allows scans to be carried out close to the operating room and intensive care units.
"By eliminating the need to transport critical patients, their safety is significantly increased," the quoted source said.
