Total industrial producer prices (domestic market and foreign market) in Romania increased by 3.3% in March 2025, year-on-year, but decreased by 2.4% month-on-month, according to data with the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Tuesday.
On the domestic market, the industrial producer price index went down 3.01% in March 2025 month-on-month and an increase of 3.32% year-on-year.
On the foreign market, industrial producer prices were down 0.88% month-on-month, and up 3.31% year-on-year.
By major industrial groups, March 2025 industrial producer prices were up on the capital goods industry (+3.10%), the consumer goods industry (5.11%), the durable goods industry (+2.44%), the intermediate goods industry (+2.38%) and the energy industry (3.46%), all year-on-year.
By spheres of business, prices increased in water supply, sanitation, waste management, decontamination (+11.08%), manufacturing (1.81%), mining and quarrying (1.52%) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and supply (7.40%). AGERPRES
