Romanian tennis player Anca Todoni on Sunday won the women's singles title at the Antalya Challenger WTA 125 tournament in Antalya, Turkey, prize money USD 115,000, after defeating Leyre Romero Gomez 6-3 6-2.

In her first week in the top 100 in the world ranking, Todoni, 24, world number 100, prevailed in an hour and 26 minutes.

Todoni had defeated the 22-year-old Spanish player, world number 157, in their first meet this year in the second round of the Australian Open qualifiers, with an identical score.

This is the Romanian player's third WTA 125 title, after those in Bolivia Open, and Open Delle Puglie, both in 2024.

For her success in Antalya, Todoni won USD 15,500 and 125 WTA singles points.
